Protect your Information

Updated: Jun 5, 2019

Protecting your personal information can help reduce your risk of wire fraud. Nowadays hackers are trying to use stolen information to convince you to send personal information.

You should protect yourself from these activities. This problem is not just happening to people, even companies are victims of thi

s kind of fraud. The reality is, nobody is safe from these types of people.

In the real estate market, there is a lot of information that needs to be protected and people do not realize this until it is too late. This is the case with wire information. We hear too many times of the horrors that people experience because of this type of crime. We recommend that all people involved with a transfer of funds take extra precautions to make sure the transfer occurs correctly and to the right person. At our agency we require voice confirmation of all wiring information, passwords on all sensitive documents and encryption of emails. We also recommend that agents and loan officers do the same.

The reality is that we need to be more responsible with our information and even more responsible with that of our customers.
